Three Dos Pueblos pitchers allowed just three hits while the Chargers continued to swing hot bats as they pounded Ventura 9-4 in a Channel League baseball game on Wednesday.
Dos Pueblos improved to 7-1 in league play and 16-8 overall. Ventura falls to 3-6, 10-12.
Josh Tedeschi allowed one hit and one run in five innings of work to earn the win. Phil Zajic pitched a hitless inning and Drake Gilliland finished the game, allowing two hits and three runs.
Offensively, Nolan Soto drove in three runs and Dustin Demeter, Gabe Speier and James Savage each had two RBIs. Luke Coffey went 2-for-2 and scored a run and Savage went 2-for-4. Leadoff hitter Ben York scored twice.
The Chargers led 4-1 after three innings and then blew the game open with four runs in the fourth.
Dos Pueblos travels to Ventura on Tuesday.
