Michael Orosco-Moore and Caroline Vance each notched two wins for the San Marcos track and field team on Saturday at the Oakland Invitational Relays at Cal’s Edwards Stadium.
Michael Orosco-Moore threw a season-best 48-3 to captured the boys shot put and won the discus with a throw of 131-2.
Vance doubled in the long jump (16-8.50) and the triple jump (34-8).
Anastasia Kunz had the San Marcos contingent beaming as she won the girls 300 hurdles in a meet-record time of 48.42.
In distance events, Jewel Fisher and Rocio Pacheco finished 1-2 in the 3200 meters. Fisher was clocked in 11:51.01 and Pacheco finished in 11:53.17. They later combined with Julianna Logan and Kaitlyn Kuehn to win the distance medley relay in 13:16.61.
On the boys side, Ryan Sorensen ran away from the field in winning the 3200 in 9:56.26.
In other events for the Royals, Joe Prince went 20-11 to finish second in the long jump and took third in the triple jump at 40-6.50. Charlotte Garratt cleared 5 feet to take second in the girls high jump; Veronica Toral was third in the girls discus and shot put; Jon Wilson was third in the 110 high hurdles and Katilyn Kuehn was fourth in the 1600.
In relays, the Royals were second in the boys 1600 sprint and 4×100 and the girls 4×200.
