Stamatia Scarvelis, Bryan Fernandez and Elaine McClure of Dos Pueblos set meet records at the Redondo NIKE Track and Field Invitational.
Scarvelis set her mark in the discus with a throw of 138-8. The distance was more than 30 longer than second place. She also won the shot put at 46-7.
Fernandez set his record in the 3200, winning in 9:18.72. The old mark was 9:20.76. Max Davis of the Chargers was fourth in 9:26.98.
Fernandez also won the 1600 in 4:19.16, beating Phillip Rocha of Arcadia (4:19.71).
McClure won the frosh/soph 3200 in a meet-record 11:36.19.
Other winners for the Chargers were Tatianna Schleup in the frosh/soph 800 (2:29.35) and Sydney Eilbacher in the girls varsity pole vault at 11-3, just one inch off tying the meet record.
