Cate’s boys tennis team earned its first victory of the season on Friday with a 17-1 decision over Carpinteria.
Alex Erling and Parker Gribb exemplified Cate’s day in doubles. The duo won their three sets 6-0, 6-0, 6-0. The Rams claimed all nine doubles points in the match.
Michael Revord completed a three-set sweep in singles for Cate.
Jonathan Cleek won Carpinteria’s lone singles set.
Cate (1-4) hosts Bishop Diego on Tuesday.
