Palos Verdes got the better of Santa Barbara High’s boys tennis team in Wednesday’s non-league match between two top-ten Division 1 teams.
Palos Verdes was strong at the top sweeping at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. Jake Douglas was 3-0 in singles while Kent Mukai and Tony Dellovade swept their three sets together.
“Our guys played well but it just was not our day today,” reported Dons head coach Greg Tebbe.
Santa Barbara (9-5) plays again on Thursday in a Channel League match against Buena.
