SBCC won the last two doubles matches on Friday to pull out a 5-4 women’s tennis victory at Ventura. It was the second 5-4 win for the Vaqueros (4-3, 3-2 WSC) over the Pirates this year.
Bruna Magalhaes (7-0), Precious Ncube and Laura Wyatt posted singles wins to earn a 3-3 tie going into doubles.
The Vaqueros won the match at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles with Magalhes/Nadya Bravo winning 8-1 and Ncube/Wyatt prevailing 8-4.
SBCC will host Santa Monica on Tuesday on 2 p.m.
