Patrick Corpuz was perfect in singles for Dos Pueblos’ boys tennis team on Tuesday, sweeping three sets at love in the Chargers’ 14-4 non-league win over Santa Ynez.
Caleb Franzen also won three points in singles for the Chargers as the team captured 7-of-9 points on that side.
It was an even split as the Dos Pueblos doubles teams also contributed seven points. Joshua Wang and Mason Casady were dominant, winning 6-2, 6-2, 6-1.
“The home crowd was plentiful and cheering loudly. I am proud of our team who focused on what was happening on court and played with steady resolve,” reported Chargers head coach Liz Frech.
Dos Pueblos has a match scheduled for Wednesday at against San Luis Obispo.
