Cristian Bridley and Tarry Burkhardt helped Santa Barbara High build a big enough lead to hold off Fountain Valley in a non-league swim meet on Saturday at the Dons pool.
The Santa Barbara boys won 86-84, and the girls rolled to a 101-69 victory over the Barons.
Bridley won the backstroke and Burkhardt took the breaststroke and 50 freestyle. Also winning were freshman Alex Roderick in the 200 free and Evan Robertson in the 100 free.
The SBHS girls got wins from Sophie Trabucco in the 500 free and Dana Sloan in the 200 free. The difference in the meet was Santa Barbara’s depth.
Both Santa Barbara teams are 3-0.
