Carpinteria dropped a 2-1 decision at La Reina in a Tri-Valley League softball game on Thursday.
The Warriors capitalized on a first-inning error and scored the first run of the game. Delaney Henderson singled home Cat Maldonado.
La Reina answered with two runs in the second. The first run scored after Maldonado gave up her first walk of the season. A stolen base, passed ball and single tied the score. the Regents scored the winning run after another stolen base and a single.
The Warriors stranded runners in scoring positions and dropped their third straight game after a 4-1 start.
Carpinteria is 4-4 and 0-2 in league.
