Carpinteria won its first Tri-Valley League game in Tuesday’s 3-2 victory over Santa Clara.
Senior shortstop Delaney Henderson was 2-for-3 with two extra base hits and scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning. Henderson also had an RBI triple in the fourth inning.
Pitcher Catalina Maldonado earned the victory with four strikeouts and three hits allowed.
Tuesday’s game was the first of three straight for the Warriors. They face Channel Islands on Wednesday and Fillmore on Thursday in a TVL game.
