Stevenson’s visiting boys golf team topped Santa Barbara at Birnam Wood Golf Course on Tuesday despite the Dons’ James Morton shooting the day’s best round.
Morton recorded a three-over-par 73, but Stevenson came away with the 395-406 team victory.
Morton overcame two triple-bogeys by making six birdies on the short but narrow course in Montecito.
Drew Nelson’s 74 was Stevenson’s low round.
Tuesday’s match started a busy week for the Dons, who play a nine-hole match with Stevenson and Long Beach Wilson on Thursday before leaving for Sacramento to play in a two-day tournament on Friday and Saturday.
