Grant Amerson’s one-over 73 at Sandpiper Golf Course lifted Dos Pueblos’ golf team to a 409-414 Channel League win over San Marcos on Tuesday.
Amerson converted four birdies on a challenging day for putting as the greens had just been punched and sanded. Wind was also a factor as players dealt with a steady ocean breeze.
“It’s a great win for us. Any road win in the Channel league is really good,” said Chargers head coach Rob Schiff.
A 77 from Niels Anderson was San Marcos’ low score.
The Chargers improve to 7-3 overall and 2-0 in league play.
