Bishop Diego finished second behind Villanova in a nine-hole, 3-way boys golf match at Soule Park in Ojai on Thursday.
The Cardinals shot 240, with Trevor Taimuty firing the team’s low score with a 42. Villanova won the match with a 215 and Santa Paula was third at 280.
Myles De La Mora of Villanova was the match medalist with a 37.
Bishop (1-2) next plays on Tuesday against Villanova at Rancho San Marcos.
