Carpinteria’s boys volleyball team swept Fillmore 25-15, 25-13, 25-23 on Thursday for a Frontier League victory.
Joey Gamez’s 11 kills were a team-high and he added six aces. Ben O’Hara recorded a season-best six blocks on top of five kills.
Pablo Vences made his first start for the Warriors and was up to the challenge. Vences played error-free and finished with seven kills and four digs.
The Warriors, now 2-3 in league play, host Cate on Friday in a non-league match.
