Santa Barbara High’s boys volleyball team improved to 9-4 on the season with a 25-20, 25-23, 22-25, 25-19 non-league victory over Valencia on Tuesday night.
With their starting libero out sick, the Dons turned to back-up Will Howard to fill the void.
“He stepped up for us,” said Dons head coach Chad Arneson.
Other important contributors included setter Hart Pitcher, Channing Peake and Kevin Flynn.
Santa Barbara returns to Channel League play on Thursday with a match against Buena.
