Arroyo Grande was better in the clutch against San Marcos on Thursday, as the Eagles swept the Royals 30-28, 25-23, 28-26.
Each set could have gone San Marcos’ way.
“We made some crucial errors at crucial times, both from the serving line and we had some net play that wasn’t effective for us,” said San Marcos head coach Roger Kuntz.
Christian Widmer collected 33 assists and Shane Hauschild recorded a team-high in kills with 15. Taylor Mann had six kills.
San Marcos, which plays Valencia next on Tuesday, is 6-3 for the season.
