St. Joseph edged Bishop Diego 1-0 on Tuesday in a non-league game.
The Knights scored the game’s lone run in the 4th inning on just one hit.
It was one of only two hits that Cardinals starting pitcher Nolan Tooley would allow in five-plus innings.
On offense, Bishop Diego mustered three hits. It’s just the second time in 10 games that the Cardinals have been shutout.
Bishop Diego (5-5) plays again next week against Nordhoff.
