Nipomo scored six runs on six hits in Friday’s non-league 6-3 victory over Carpinteria.
The Titans scored three runs in the opening frame and led throughout.
The Warriors scored one in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 3-1. Nipomo biult on their lead before Carpinteria added two more in the bottom of the fifth.
Shortstop Marcus Hutchinson recorded two hits – one an RBI double – and scored two runs. Derrick Moore knocked in another run with the Warriors’ second double of the day.
Max Damron started on the mound for Carpinteria and threw three hitless innings after Nipomo’s three-run first.
The Warriors play Bishop Diego on Tuesday in a non-league game.
