Bishop Diego’s baseball team was torched by Malibu on Friday 16-1.
The Cardinals committed six errors on defense and mustered just two hits on offense.
The Sharks scored 15 of their runs in two innings. They took a 6-0 lead with a six-run third inning, which was supported by a nine-run eighth inning.
Malibu starting pitcher Noah Simon was credited with the victory. The Sharks are off to a 3-0 start, outscoring their opponents 44-8.
Bishop Diego (0-3) plays a SoCal Invitational tournament game on Saturday.
