UCSB’s women’s tennis team began its Spring schedule this weekend by winning two of three matches against Northren Arizona, San Jose State and the University of San Francisco.
The Gauchos defeated Northern Arizona 5-2 on Friday and San Jose State 4-3 on Saturday. San Francisco handed UCSB its first loss on Sunday with a 5-2 decision.
Freshman Priscilla Garcia and sophomore Stacey Yam won all three of their singles sets in the three matches.
UCSB (2-1) will hit the road this coming weekend for two matches. The Gauchos will face UC Riverside on Saturday and Long Beach State on Sunday.
