Chad Lampe of Dos Pueblos advanced to the semifinals of the CIF Individual Wrestling Championships on Friday at Los Osos High in Rancho Cucamonga.
Three other DP wrestlers are still alive for berths in next week’s Masters Tournament. Cameron Cox (115 pounds), Nico Sorenson (128) and Eden Martinez (140) are in the consolation bracket with 2-1 records. Martinez’s loss came in the quarterfinals. He needs to win one match on Saturday to finish in the top five and qualify for the Masters.
Cox and Sorenson need two wins to qualify.
Lampe qualified for Masters by reaching the final four at 122 pounds. Last year, he missed advancing to the State Meet by one place.
