SBCC fell behind early and suffered an 85-61 men’s basketball loss to L.A. Pierce in a Western State Conference North Division game at the Sports Pavilion.
The Vaqueros trailed 41-27 at halftime, and the game got away from them in the second half.
Dante Williams scored 24 points and Terrel Funches added 20 to pace the Brahmas. Point guard J.R. Williams paced the attack with nine assists to go with eight points.
Jalani Davis scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds, and Mike Hansen added 10 points for the Vaqueros, who fell to 4-17 and 0-9 in the WSC.
