Santa Barbara got 16 points from Melissa Lemus and 13 points from Ivette Gil in a 54-23 win over San Marcos in a Channel League girls basketball game on Monday night at the Thunderhut.
The Dons improve to 18-7 overall and 5-2 in league play. They are ranked No. 2 in CIF Division 3AA.
Santa Barbara got a good game from sophomore Alejandra Mejia. She grabbed six rebounds and played strong defense in the post, said coach Andrew Butcher.
The Dons conclude league play on Wednesday night at Dos Pueblos.
