Laguna Blanca pulled out a tight first set and went on to sweep Carpinteria in a season-opening boys volleyball match Tuesday night. The scores were 25-23, 25-15, 25-16.
The Owls got a balanced attack, led by Andrew Vignolo’s eight kills. Colton Johnson and JT Aubrey added seven apiece.
Dalton Smith’s seven digs helped Laguna Blanca prevail in the tight first set.
