Dos Pueblos and Newbury Park decided their season opener with an epic fourth set on Wednesday as the Panthers outlasted the Chargers 25-14, 20-25, 25-23, 36-34.
Cameron Fry recorded a team-high 12 kills for Dos Pueblos.
Drew Kenyon added nine and Matt Sessler eight, with one block.
“I saw some good things, definitely saw some things we need to work on,” said Chargers head coach Chris Hughes.
“Overall, just a good first match for us.”
