Cate senior Abhay Singh found the back of the net four times in the Rams’ 6-0 victory over Laguna Blanca on Friday.
Singh scored his first three in the first half to give the Rams a 3-0 lead. Assists came from Geoffrey Acheampong, Iman Fardghasemi and Joshua Yaro. Leighton Brillo-Sonnino set the second and third goals in motion by setting up the assist makers.
Yaro added Cate’s fourth goal just before halftime. In the second half, Singh knocked in his fourth followed by a goal from Abraham Tall on another assist from Acheampong.
“And while Singh was the man of the hour, Acheampong, Yaro, and Brillo-Sonnino created countless opportunities for the Rams and controlled the midfield exceptionally well,” reported Rams head coach Peter Mack.
Cate, the No. 4 team in Division 6, has won four straight.
The Rams (10-2-1, 6-0) wrap up the regular season next week with league games against Thacher and Dunn.
