Santa Paula took a share of the Tri-Valley League title with Carpinteria on Wednesday as the Cardinals recorded a 2-0 victory.
Santa Paula and Carpinteria finished with the same records 7-2-1, but the Cardinals will be the league’s No. 1 team in the playoffs based on their two wins over the Warriors.
The Warriors created only 10 shots on goal in the match and defensive breakdowns proved costly.
Carpinteria was looking for its third straight outright Tri-Valley League title and fifth in the past six years.
