Dunn came within minutes of upsetting Cate’s boys soccer team in Friday’s Condor League game. But Tyler Douglas’ 75th-minute goal salvaged a 2-2 draw for the Rams.
Cate is ranked No. 4 in Division 6 and had won nine straight league matches this season.
Douglas followed his own rebound after a shot on a a pass from Joel Serugo. The Earwigs had taken their 2-1 lead in the 72nd minute.
The two teams played a scoreless first half. Joshua Yaro changed that eight minutes into the second half to give Cate a 1-0 lead.
The two-time defending CIF champion Rams will learn their CIF playoff draw on Monday.
