Malibu won a close game with Bishop Diego on Friday night, taking the Tri-Valley League matchup 51-45.
The Sharks and Cardinals were tied at half and Malibu led by just two entering the final period.
“We had chances at the end, didn’t get the shots to drop and they converted,” said Bishop Diego head coach Dean Prophet.
Malibu kept Caleb Richey in check with just 10 points. Thomas Lash and Peter Kwock led the Cardinals with 14 points each.
Bishop Diego (13-11, 3-6) has its final regular season game on Wednesday at Oaks Christian.
