BBK: Lions’ playoff run ends at Joshua Springs

Joshua Springs outscored Providence Hall 19-6 in the second quarter and knocked the Lions out of the CIF Division 6 boys basketball quarterfinals with a 62-42 decision on Tuesday night.

After falling behind 13-3 in the first quarter, Providence Hall regrouped and cut the deficit to 13-11 by the end of the period. But the Lions lost momentum in the second period and fell behind 32-17 by halftime.

Chase Sweetman was a force inside for Joshua Springs, scoring 24 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Dylan Hadley also gave the Lions problems. He had three blocked shots and three steals, scored eight points and grabbed nine rebounds.
