Four San Marcos wrestlers placed at the 32-team Chaminade Tournament on Saturday.
Heavyweight Diego Patalla was the highest finisher for the Royals, taking four place. Aloha Rodriguez (115 pounds) and Christian Garcia (220) both finished in fifth place and Juan Barreto claimed a consolation title at 195 pounds.
“This is the first tournament where we’ve had more than one person place,” San Marcos coach Tony Becerra said. “We’re doing well. It looks like we’re peaking at the right time.”
