Tugce Canitez scored 24 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, powering the sixth-ranked Westmont women’s basketball team to an 84-51 rout over Concordia on Tuesday night at Muchison Gym.
Canitez made 9 of 11 shots and 5 of 6 from the free-throw line.
Westmont was red-hot shooting the ball from the start. The Warriors made 30 of 57 from the floor. The Warriors went on a 12-6 run late in the first half to take a 39-22 lead at halftime.
They continued to dominate play early in the second half, building a 52-24 lead after four minutes.
Jillian Wilber scored 11 points and Celina Gougis added 10 points for the Warriors (16-3, 7-0). Concordia (5-14, 3-4) was led by Melody Chavez with 11 points.
