The threat of rain in San Diego County has caused Westmont Baseball to have to wait for two more days to start Golden State Athletic Conference play.
The Warriors (2-0) were scheduled to take on the Hawks of San Diego Christian (4-0) at 2:00 p.m. on Friday in El Cajon and then square-off in a double header on Saturday. Both dates, however, have been pushed back in anticipation of a more favorable forecast.
Friday’s scheduled single game will be played at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 27 at a San Diego County location to be determined. The double header has been rescheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 28 at San Diego Christian’s El Cajon campus. Fans planning on attending Friday’s game should check the Westmont Athletics website (www.westmont.edu/athletics) for updates on game location.
The Warriors, who opened the season last Saturday with a sweep of Bethesda, are scheduled to welcome the Eagles of Biola (3-0) to Russ Carr Field for a three-game series on Friday and Saturday, February 1-2. The single game on Friday is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. with Saturday’s doubleheader starting at 11:00 a.m.
