Jenna Phreaner stopped eight shots and made five steals, sparking the San Marcos girls water polo team to a 13-5 Channel League girls water polo win over Ventura on Tuesday.
Riley Heiduk paced the Royals’ offense with four goals, while Hailey Gellert and Halie Johnson tallied three apiece.
The defense stymied Ventura with 17 steals, led by Hannah Koper with four.
San Marcos is 6-9 and 2-2 in Channel League.
