Jordon Price volleyed in the game-winning goal off a Hanna Brand corner kick, as Bishop Diego’s girls soccer team defeated Villanova 2-1 in a Frontier League match.
All the scoring took place in the first half. Brand scored Bishop’s first goal in the 13th minute, finishing a corner kick by Amanda Garcia.
“It was a back and forth game,” Bishop coach Tessa Binkley said. “They came out hard in the second half, but we were able to hold them off.”
Bishop Diego improves to 6-1-6 on the season.
