Greer Shull scored 21 points and set the Bishop Diego career record for 3-pointers, helping the Cardinals to a 61-22 win over Malibu in the Frontier League girls basketball opener on Thursday night.
Shull knocked down the 109th 3-pointer of her career, breaking the previous mark of 108 by Larissa Gonzalez.
Josie McCoy added 19 points and Jordyn Lily scored nine points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Cardinals (8-7, 1-0).
“The team did a very good job distributing the ball,” Bishop coach Jeff Burich said. “We played very unselfish basketball. We got up and down in transition and got some easy baskets.”
Bishop is back in action Tuesday at Grace Brethren.
