Santa Barbara had its lowest scoring output of the season and dropped a 59-47 non-league girls basketball game at Rio Mesa on Saturday.
“Poor rebounding, turnovers and poor shot selection contributing to a poor showing for the Dons,” Santa Barbara coach Andrew Butcher said.
Dessy Coleman scored 17 points, had five rebounds and four steals to lead the Dons (16-7). Melissa Lemus added 14 points.
Ashley Ontiveros scored a game-high 20 points and recorded nine rebounds for Rio Mesa.
Santa Barbara returns to Channel League play on Thursday against Buena at home. The Dons will honor its seniors that night.
