“We did a good job on the defensive end,” DP coach Joe Zamora said. “We created numerous turnovers which led to some good transition baskets.”
Cruz Mertens paced the Charger offense with 16 points, including four 3-pointers. Zach Shugart added 11 points.
Zamora praised the play of Derek Abbott in the post. Abbott has stepped up for DP after an injury to Jackson Wopat.
The Chargers got good play off the bench from CJ Zajic and Erik Olson, while Gerry Perez and Chris Williams did a nice job directing the attack, said Zamora.
