Cox Channel 8’s full-length television broadcasts from the 2011 high school football season are now available for online viewing.
All four local rivalry games from that year are included: The Big Game, The Little Big Game, The Crosstown Showdown, and the Battle of the Goodland.
Presidio Sports has added the videos to our game stories to enhance the fan experience and historical record.

In the 52nd annual city football rivalry between Santa Barbara and San Marcos, the bigger Dons offensive line asserted itself and started opening holes, and Cheroke Cunningham ran wild, scoring three times in a 35-21 Santa Barbara win before a big crowd at Warkentin Stadium.

Like the storm that swept through the area, Bishop Diego?s Brandon Gonzalez pounded Carpinteria?s defense to the tune of 236 yards rushing and scored a pair of touchdowns to lead the Cardinals to a 39-20 victory in the annual Little Big Game on a nasty night at La Playa Stadium.

Josh Bartley’s 253-yard night was more than Santa Barbara High’s football team could handle, as Dos Pueblos’ senior tailback carried the Chargers past the Dons 20-12 in a pivotal Channel League contest.

Dos Pueblos picked the right time to turn its season around. The Chargers completed their improbable run to the playoffs by blanking San Marcos 28-0 to claim the first Battle of Goodland trophy and the City Championship at Scott O?Leary Stadium.
