Carpinteria’s boys soccer team found Malibu’s net three times in Friday’s Tri-Valley League match.
The Warriors posted a 3-0 result while Joey Gamez and the defense recorded their second straight shutout.
Carpinteria stands at 5-1-1 in the TVL.
Lalo Garcia gave the Warriors the spark they needed starting the second half.
Neither team scored through the first 40 minutes. Garcia came out and gave the Warriors their first lead barely a minute past halftime. Victor Saldana gave Carpinteria a 2-0 lead in the 70th minute.
In the 80th minute, Juan Vences scored one final time on a deflection.
