Carpinteria’s boys soccer team recorded its second straight 1-0 shutout on Wednesday, topping visiting Fillmore 1-0 in a Tri-Valley League game.
Luca Rigonati scored the game’s only goal on an assist from Lalo Garcia.
The Warriors won despite playing most of the second half a man down following a red card for a hard foul.
The result improves Carpinteria to 4-1-1 in league play and 8-1-3 overall.
It’s the second straight 1-0 shutout for the Warriors’ defense after Monday’s win over Ventura. Joey Gamez was credited with the clean sheet.
Next up for the Warriors is Malibu on Friday.
