In the second meeting of the season, Santa Ynez’s boys soccer team reversed an earlier decision to defeat Cate 3-1 in Thursday’s non-league game.
Cate beat the Pirates 2-1 on December 12th.
Scoreless into the second half, Santa Ynez struck three times in a 12-minute span.
Geoffrey Acheampong answered for Cate with a breathtaking shot from 30 yards out.
Cate, the No. 4 team in Division 6, stands at 5-2-1 on the season.
