Ian Hall scored in the second half for San Marcos in a 5-1 boys soccer loss to Channel League co-leader Ventura on Thursday night.
“The young Royals have battled all season,” San Marcos assistant coach Jesus Landeros said. “Having only three starters back from last year’s second-place team has been a monumental task in the highly competitive Channel League.
Landeros praised the play of Bryan Cantero, Kyle Carter, and Marcos Lopez.
