Laguna Blanca’s boys basketball team defeated Villanova 47-41 on Monday behind a strong defensive effort.
Andrew Vignolo collected nine points, 11 rebounds and two blocks. Jack Klinger added seven points and three steals. J.T. Aubrey had eight points.
“We executed our gameplan,” reported Owls head coach Sal Rodriguez. “We are a defensive minded team and we went out and applied pressure on the ball and took Villanova out of what they wanted to do on the offensive end. Our defense led to easy transition buckets which fed the flame on the defensive end.”
Laguna improves to 5-1, 3-0 on the season.
