Santa Barbara High’s boys basketball team broke into the Channel League win column in its first game of 2013 with a 69-64 victory at Buena on Wednesday.
The Dons, who lost to Ventura in their league opener, are 1-1, 12-2 overall.
Jack Baker finished with 20 points while Emilio Gonzalez had 21 and 11 rebounds. Michael Day added nine points.
The two schools battled to a draw through the first two quarters. After halftime, Santa Barbara outscored Buena 21-13 in the third quarter to take the lead for good.
The Dons host San Marcos on Friday night at 7 p.m.
