Oak Park bettered Bishop Diego in Wednesday night’s Tri-Valley League boys basketball game as Ron Lee and JD Slajchert scored 22 each in the Eagles’ 78-61 victory.
The Cardinals were led by 26 points from Caleb Richey, who was the lone senior honored by Bishop Diego on Senior Night.
Thomas Lash added 17 and Grant Sexton 11 for the Cardinals.
“But the boys played hard, I was really pleased with their effort,” said Cardinals head coach Dean Prophet. “We just couldn’t contain their two.”
Oak Park remains undefeated in league play at 8-0. Overall, the Eagles are 21-3.
Bishop Diego falls to 3-5 in league and 13-10 overall. Wednesday’s game was 15 points closer than the first time the two teams met.
