St. Joseph’s pressure defense overwhelmed San Marcos, and the Royals were routed 79-20 in the Gold Coast Classic girls basketball tournament on Thursday at the Thunderhut.
Tatiana Dunlap scored 26 points and Kaitlyn Flowers added 18 for the Knights, who turned several turnover into easy baskets.
Roxy Sandoval was the high scorer for San Marcos (3-4) with seven points.
The Royals have their work cut out for then on Friday as they play two games: Pacifica at 4 p.m. and Santa Barbara at 7 p.m.
