Greer Shull and Josie McCoy picked up the Bishop Diego girls basketball team in the second half, and the Cardinals pulled away from Orcutt Academy 47-39 in a non-league game on the road.
Shull and McCoy combined for 20 of the Cardinals’ 22 points in the second half.
Shull finished with 15 points and McCoy 14 as Bishop overcame the loss of Madison Ballard-Rozok to an injury, leaving the team with just seven players.
“Josie and Greer did a great job keeping their composure,” said Bishop coach Jeff Burich.
The Cardinals improve to 4-6 and don’t return to action until Dec. 17 when they play Avalon High on Catalina Island.
