Sydney Hedges took over the game, scoring 34 points and grabbing 14 rebounds to lead Providence Hall to 64-42 win over Cabrillo in the Bird Cage Classic girls basketball tournament.
The Lions’ second tournament win sets up a showdown with Bishop Diego on Friday night for a spot in the championship game.
In the second quarter, Hedges sank seven straight free throws and made three baskets for 13 points to help the Lions open up a 38-20 halftime lead.
Lacey Gonzalez added 14 points as Providence Hall improved to 3-0. Cabrillo drops to 2-3.
The Conquistadores were led by Devan McCune with 11 points and Gaby Baumgartner with 10.
