Dos Pueblos’ girls soccer team came back to win two matches on Friday at the North Orange County Classic, finishing the tournament with a 3-1 record.
The Chargers beat La Mirada in a penalty-kick shoot out 5-3 in their first game on Friday. The two teams battled to a 2-2 draw in regulation.
Dos Pueblos then shut out San Luis Obispo 1-0 in the second game of the day.
Jamie Benedetto scored in three of the four games for the Chargers. Head coach Pato Guerrero also credited Emma Trumbull and Shelby Hoffman with strong defensive efforts. Maria Solis and Kayla Klopstein contributed in the midfield.
The Chargers’ next match is their Channel League opener on Tuesday, January 8.
